S-MASCOT PROLOGUE

PROLOGUE

  A woman ran down on the road in the middle of the deserted town. She was hugging her baby closely against her with a glowing white necklace hung around her soft furry neck. The woman was trying her best to run away from an unimaginable horror that was going to kill her and her baby to death. She suddenly gasp as she stops to a dead end and she looked around to find another way to escape. Just then, a shadow came towards her and raised its sharp claws to attack.

  Suddenly, a green light beam shot the shadowy creature and the creature fainted with a burning bruise on its arm. The woman turned to the light's direction and saw a man with an armored shirt and shorts. It was her beloved husband, a brave young man with true heroism. Her husband then led her and their baby to the alleyway's entrance. Before they went in, a red beam blasted in front of them.

  The parents turned around and saw another shadowy figure but this time, bigger and badder. The brave husband muttered with hate,"Lord Soul..." "Ah, so you do remember me, huh, Ronald Hills?", said Lord Soul as he smiled evilly, "Oh and what do we have here? You have a family, huh? Wow, am I really getting old or what?" "Stay back, Lord 'Loser' or else, I'll finish you off with my Spirit Sword. For I am the S-Mascot!", shouted Ronald as he raised his sword dramatically. Lord Soul facepalmed and then sighed,"Oh my freaking goodness. This again? Can't we at least like move on with it or something? It's getting really old...or is it just me that is getting old?" Lord Soul had thought for a moment while the parents were beginning to go through an alleyway. Suddenly, Lord Soul then blasted another red beam in front of them and yelled,"You know what? Nevermind that!! It's payback time for destroying me last year."

  The parents then ran away while Lord Soul chased after them through the alleyway. As they were almost to the exit, Lord Soul then blasted a beam at Ronald and Ronald fell down with an injured leg. His wife gasped at the sight and wanted to help him with it but Ronald held out his hand to stop. "Connie, my love, just go on without me. I'll take care of him and you need to protect our baby, okay?", panted Ronald as he held his injured leg and winced at the pain. Connie then can't help it but feel horrified and scared to leave her husband behind. Ronald then hold his hands together with Connie's hands and said with a calm voice,"Don't worry about me, honey. It's okay, it's okay. It'll be all right, okay? Everything's gonna be all right. Just remember that I'll always be there in your heart. I will always love you, Connie. Now, go run now." Connie then have the determination to keep on running to the exit. Ronald then had the feeling she's gonna make it. "Well, isn't that just sweet, little Romeo?", said Lord Soul as he walked up to Ronald,"Sorry, I can't help it but to eavesdrop everything you said a minute ago and I have to admit you are pretty good with ladi-" POW! Lord Soul's face was punched by Ronald's fists. Lord Soul stumbled back and shouted,"Okay. That's the last straw! How about you say hello to my new improved weapon?" He brought a remote control and pressed the button. Suddenly out of nowhere, a weapon blasted out of the ground and landed perfectly on the surface. The machine had a big gun cannon with molecular radiance inside it and to Ronald, it looks dangerous to be even used.

  "Say hello to Briana.", said Lord Soul as he try his best to get used to his grip on the weapon. Ronald stared at him dumbfounded,"Briana? Seriously? You named a world destruction weapon, Briana?" "Look I get lonely sometimes and I need someone to be on my side since you blasted my only minion few minutes ago. Don't judge me.", said Lord Soul as he crossed his arms to his chest. Lord Soul then continued his aim towards Ronald and weapon began to charge up all the energy. Ronald looked around him and found nothing that can protect him against a powerful beam. He suddenly realized something and he had to do this in order to save the world and destroy lord Soul. Ronald began to charge up a huge energy ball that keeps getting bigger and brighter. Lord Soul then looked up from the weapon and gasped. "Wait, is that? No, that can't be! Doesn't he know what will do to him?", Lord Soul said in his thoughts. The weapon was all prepared to fire towards Ronald and Lord Soul then fired the blast. Ronald's energy built a forcefield around him and he closed his eyes to get ready.

  Meanwhile, Connie arrived in the dumpster after she made her way through the alleyway. She looked for a perfect hiding place for her baby. Suddenly, she spotted a basket with a torn blanket and Connie knew it would be for the best. As she put her baby in the basket and covers it with blanket, a huge explosion happened behind her and as she turned around, she screamed. Blackout comes in...
